Dùng để nói những nơi đi lại, ra vào rất khó khăn do địa thế hiểm trở hoặc điều kiện bất lợi; cũng có thể dùng bóng để chỉ tình thế mắc kẹt, khó xoay xở. Câu phản ánh kinh nghiệm dân gian về đặc điểm của từng cửa lạch.
